Jess Ladd - An Activist

Jessica Ladd, the CEO and founder of Sexual Health Innovations, is a TED Fellow. She has been recognized as a Fearless Changemaker, an Emerging Innovator, and the Civic Hacker of the Year by the Case Foundation, Ashoka, American Express, and Baltimore Innovation Week. Prior to founding Sexual Health Innovations, Ladd worked as a researcher and educator for sexual health with The AIDS Institute, the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, and several other organizations. She graduated from Pomona College with a bachelor's in public policy/human sexuality and received a master's in public health from Johns Hopkins.

Additionally, she founded a FemSex branch at Pomona College. Students can report attacks online using the Ladd platform Callisto without having to name their assailant. Information under this sort of escrow is only released to a third party when certain predetermined conditions are met, such as when another student reports the same assailant. At Callisto, we will be in a stronger position to carry on with our efforts in the upcoming months and years to center and elevate the voices of survivors.
