Reporting Sexual Assault

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.

  1. Observe a medical facility. Inform a medical professional that you want to report the crime if you are receiving treatment for sexual assault-related injuries. A forensic examination for sexual assault is an additional option. Although intrusive, rape kits can be important in a legal setting. But only accept what you feel at ease with.

  2. Speak with the neighborhood police force. You can reach your neighborhood police station directly by calling or going in person. You might also be able to get in touch with campus law enforcement if you're on a college or university campus.

  3. Call 911 and let them know your location.

Ultimately, if you don't feel ready or willing to report sexual assault, think and reflect on it.
